Welcome back to a new school year!
I’m Ms. Roca, a new fourth-grade teacher at Saint Joachim Catholic School in Costa Mesa. It has been 12 years since I embarked on my journey as a teacher.
This year, our my classroom theme is “Plants and Growth.” Just like plants need care to flourish, we nurture our minds for learning. We will work towards having a “growth mindset”, which means believing in the ability to improve through effort. Respect and responsibility are essential, too. We treat each other and our classroom with kindness and care.
I have put together a wish list that includes fun and educational items, as well as other school supplies, to enrich our classroom and curriculum even more! I appreciate this incredibly generous community of parents, friends and family, and I know that together we can help make a huge impact this new school year.
